F.E.A.R has a really silly name to a really great game. Hands down this early, it is a great FPS game, no doubt about it. Think Quake, Sin and Max Payne made with the same flowing motion from SHOGO. Then get a bit scared, then add adrenaline to the mix and you have F.E.A.R. It is not about the story really, which is a standard go find the bad guy who is sinister and evil and grotesque. Then travel around a complex and get some cryptic messages about this and that. Well the story isn't really what gets you to tighten your grip on the mouse and prepair to enter next room. It is the sheer joy in the gunslinging combat, the mysterious and spookey intermissions that keeps pulling you back. The feel and handling of the weapons are great.

So far the game might be a bit bleak sometimes and it feels a bit short but toher then that, prepair for the FPS ride of the decade!

The game give you three weapon slots to equip weapons in, you also have slow motion and close combat hand to hand techniques to use. In the easier levels the slow motion isn't necesary, but later on a life saver. The game offers alot of healing and ammo so one can rush the game for a real intense bonanza if one likes without fealing lost in a dark space. Free saves makes sure you can enjoy just as much of the game at the time as you like.
